The George Inn Rooms - Room 4

Disappointing. Positive: The property was roomy which is great. It is old and quirky, also good. Negative: It lacked many features that we would have expected; no fridge, no crockery, cutlery or wine glasses. The email via Booking.com from the owners, said that the property was ‘self-catering’; it obviously wasn’t. To eat we had to go out. That same email warned about noise on Saturdays. In fact when we arrived at 5.00 pm we could easily hear every word from the pub customers below. There was no instructions as to how to access the property except by car in the car park. To get to Great Missenden High Street we had to either go through the pub downstairs or find an unmarked alleyway to the bank of the property. A local map in the welcome pack would have been helpful. In view of all the above, the property was not value for money! Booking.com included this property within their’ hotel’ category. It is obviously not s hotel, nor even a bandb.

Wonderful Positive: Very cosy, medieval culture style, bed was amazing and room very spacious. I liked the keypad, electronic fingerprint access facilities

Positive: Fantastic big room. Very comfy Negative: All manned remotely and the pub staff were not very helpful

We loved our stay in such a characterful room! Positive: The room is really impressive and full of character. Negative: The room is situated above a pub and visitors need to be mindful of the potential noise particularly at weekends and if there are events at the pub !
