Great stay Positive: Lovely space in a great location Negative: No car parking - but we knew that. We unloaded in front though and then parked the car

Positive: We were a family of 4 adults from Australia and this house was a great opportunity to fully unpack and spread out for a while. Lovely spacious, light rooms in a fantastic location only 1 minute walk to the river or the town. Negative: Unfortunately the parking situation in Henley means a fair walk from the car park back to the house [or vice versa]. We didn't realise there was no parking in the street [unless you are extremely lucky] until we arrived, so it became a bit annoying to have to worry about if the car needed to be moved or more money put in the meter. If I stayed again I'd try not to take a car.

Tidy house in a superb yet noisy location in Henley, extremely responsive management Positive: location was amazing; beds were comfortable and Emily was a super-duper host when it came to us needing anything - nothing was too much trouble! The hot water tap was great - once they came and fixed it for us. The backyard was a lovely little spot. Emily was super kind to bring us fans when a heatwave was expected. They were used by everyone. The decorations were pretty. Negative: While the location was very convenient to the main road and shops, it was also very noisy. There were also roadworks scheduled on that road during our stay - something that should've been relayed to us prior to our stay. The road was closed and heavy, noisy and very bright machinery was operating at all hours. So loud we couldn't open the windows for days. The owner came by and gave us a few visitor's parking passes - something we'd asked for a few times but were always told they couldn't help us. The house is next door to a theatre as well - seems they party on the street when the show finishes. I like to have fun as much as the next person, but there was a lot of hollering and screaming well into the night. No parking, and then the road closing, meant parking at Waitrose and having to move the car all the time. Had I really thought about this inconvenience, I probably would've chosen a different accommodation There was no house manual at all, meaning I had to google the appliances when something wasn't working. Quite a pain, to be honest. What rental accommodation of that size doesn't have a house manual? What was there didn't provide anything useful - even the recycling and bin days weren't right so the rubbish disposal was confusing. Couldn't figure out how to work the tv, the hot water pump, etc. The kitchen - so much to say about the kitchen. It needs a redesign! It was so poorly kitted out for cooking and eating, it was farcical really. Lots of wine glasses but not enough bowls, no basics - you can tell they don't expect anyone to cook when they stay. And the fridge is in a room behind the kitchen when there's a perfectly good wall in the actual kitchen that would suffice instead of having to go in and out of the back room.
